This Side UP! Family has partnered with Plano Public Library System to bring an invaluable, empowering Parenting POWER HOUR Series Fall 2018

  This Side UP! Family and the Plano Public Library system are partners to equip and empower parents on This Side UP! Family Value of the Month. Spend an hour with incredible parenting experts and other parents! (You can even register for a FREE 30-minute one-on-one Parent Coaching Session following each POWER HOUR) Nov. 13 – Have an Attitude of Gratitude  “I am the only kid in school that does not have one.”  “Everyone else does.”  “I have to have it.”   Teaching children the difference between “want” and “need” can be the first step towards raising confident, resilient, and successful children.  Learn how to cultivate an attitude of gratitude in your home and cure your kids of the entitlement epidemic. POWER HOURS are FREE to the community.   Water and Light Snacks Provided.   (We’ll send you home with additional resources on each particular parenting topic, too.) Online duck adoptions have closed.  Duck adoptions for the big race tomorrow evening will be available at the Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center, tomorrow, 7/20, from 6:45-7:30pm.  Join us for fun and adopt your ducks there!

Family Connection Night

Dream Big!

    TSUFamily Connection Nights are a much-needed blast of family fun and connection! This Month's Family Value is DREAM BIG!  We will spend time making family vision boards and 2020 family bucket lists.  We will provide all materials!  Just bring yourselves and your ideas!! We'll enjoy a great evening of fun activities and family time!  Go home with a Family Tool that will help cultivate and elevate our monthly family value at home.  Yes, everything's totally FREE! Bring your own dinner if you like (optional) Host Location: 813 E 15th Street Plano, TX 75074 (2 doors down from Ye Olde Butcher Shop; look for the TSUF trailer and enter at the Fellowship Hall entrance. This is NOT in the church itself so park in the parking lot off 15th Street.) Find us at various terrific community locations each month!

The Spring  Clothing Giveaway is Postponed

2020 has been a hard year for all of us.  Isolation, job loss, at home learning, tough health decisions, and the current political climate can make us feel like we’re farther apart than ever.   Everything has looked different this year, but there is one thing that’s still the same for everyone,  we all love our families. Every dollar you give to This Side UP! Family goes directly into supporting ALL families with at home date nights, family connection nights, parenting education, and more. We’re all learning new ways to be together and we at This Side UP! Family are so grateful to be going into our 10th year of celebrating and strengthening family.  Your donations will help us start 2021 strong with in person programming, new COVID protocols, more virtual resources, and all the tools we need to continue supporting what we all have in common- family.
