Fall 2017

This Side UP! Family and the Plano Public Library system are partners to equip and empower parents of Elementary through High School Age kids on the topics listed below. Spend an hour with incredible parenting experts and other parents! 

Sep. 12 – Smart Money, Smart Kids
Oct. 10 – Just a Phase
Nov. 14 – Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World
Dec. 12 – Parenting with Love and Logic
One basic need all children have is to be loved unconditionally; accepted even if they fall short.  Learn how to parent with unconditional love and logic.  Establish healthy control without anger, threats, nagging, or power struggles.

Certified Parent Coach Amy Egan helps parents reconnect with their kids through teaching simple to learn techniques that when implemented can make dramatic improvements in parent-child relationships.

POWER HOURS are FREE to the community.   Water and Light Snacks Provided.   (We’ll send you home with additional resources on each particular parenting topic, too.)

Following each Power Hour, there will be FREE 30-minute Parent Coaching Sessions from 7:45-8:45 pm.   This Free Parent Coaching is ONLY available to parents who also attend that evening’s Power Hour from 6:30 – 7:30pm.   Click HERE to reserve your 30 minute coaching session for 12/12!
