This Side UP! Family and the Plano Public Library system are partnering up once again to bring you informative panel-style discussions with amazing Parenting Experts who will equip and empower parents of Elementary through High School Age Kids on the following topics:

1/17 – Allowances: Effective Guideline
2/21 – Internet Safety and Sexting
3/21 – “She Hit Me First!” Sibling Rivalry
4/18 – Are We Born That Way? Understanding Temperament
5/16 – When Nagging Doesn’t Work: Effective Positive Discipline

Discipline is not easy, even for the experienced parents. Our certified Family Life  Educator, Cynthia Garrison will include discussion on effective positive discipline strategies, strategies which don’t work and the wisdom to know the difference.

POWER HOURS are FREE to the community.    (We’ll send you home with additional resources on each particular parenting topic, too.)

Following each Power Hour, there will be FREE 30-minute Parent Coaching Sessions from 7:45-8:45 pm.   This Free Parent Coaching is ONLY available to parents who also attend that evening’s Power Hour from 6:30 – 7:30pm.   Click HERE to reserve your 30 minute coaching session for 5/16!
