“Parent's Date Night” is sponsored by This Side UP! Family Center and AMAZING area restaurants! 6-9pm, third Saturday night every month.
Drop your kids off at This Side UP! Family Center and they will enjoy a FUN evening of games, bingo, and more. At drop-off, we will provide each couple with a Talk Time card to be discussed during the meal (different relevant topics each month). This intentional couple time will provide a real, tangible way to focus on your relationship and help move you from surviving to THRIVING! Each couple who submits their Talk Time actions by the Sunday deadline, will be entered to WIN a FAMILY NIGHT OUT Prize Package.
Parent's Date Night Childcare is open to all parents and kid, ages 0 through 13 years (14 and up can contact us about volunteering). Space is limited in the 0-3 year old area, so sign up early to ensure your spot!!! Parent's Date Night Gift Card quantities ARE first come, first serve when signing up for childcare.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and starts at 12:01am on the 1st of each month and is for couples with children needing childcare during this month’s Date Night, here at the Center.

Single Parent Group meets the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7pm – 8:30pm. Join Diane Windsor as she facilitates this support group. We will tackle practical, every-day issues such as …Personal Finances, Feeding your family healthy, Low cost, easy meals, Answers to some legal questions, Co-Parenting, Teaching your kids how to have healthy relationships, and much more!
This Month's Topic: Get Organized! Ever feel like you’re slowly sinking in a quicksand pool made of toys, clothes, dishes, papers, pets, kids’ schoolwork, etc., etc.? Ever feel like it’ll never get better and you’ll never get it organized? Or if you do get it organized, ever wonder how it could possibly get so bad again so quickly? If you answered yes to any of these questions, congratulations – you’re one of millions of struggling parents going through the exact same thing!!
Single parent Abby Golman is also in this elite group of struggling parents, and through trial and error she has come up with some quick, easy, and surprisingly long-lasting solutions to the chaos. Go from cluttered chaos to peacefully productive.

As a parent, it may be tempting to deny the realities of drug danger and say "Not my child!" But, there is no denying children are strongly influenced by their environment, and drugs and alcohol are definitely a part of the environment in which our children are growing. Join us as we discuss ways to talk with your child about the immediate and permanent dangers of drug and alcohol use.
Join us as Cynthia Garrison, Board Member and Lead Parent Educator, leads us through these great topics and leave with practical tools for tackling them in your home!

This Month's Topic: Keeping Our Kids Safe!
The best way to protect children from abuse is having positive, open communication with them on an ongoing basis starting when they are young. Children normally don’t speak up if they are being abused but are more likely to if they have a trusted adult who has proactive communication with them already. Ellen White, from the YMCA, will speak to us about protecting our children.
